Biography

I started working in the darkroom and printing photographs when I was fourteen. More currently I have spent time working with digital and well as analog processes. The multifaceted possibilities can seem endless at times; I am constantly excited to try out new media and processes.

In 2007, I received my Bachelors of Arts in Printmaking from Portland State University. Although different from photography, my printmaking is often incorporated with my photography.

Some of the media I have enjoyed working with are woodblock prints, etchings, serigraph, collagraph, wet plate collodion, polaroid transfers, infrared, van dyke, cyanotype, pinhole, double exposure, cross processing, acrylic medium transfer and photogravure.

I have exhibited both my printmaking and photography in various galleries around the world as well as locally, including Photolucida's "Then. Now. Here." slideshow at Blue Sky Gallery in Portland, OR. I also enjoy taking portraits, most often of people and their pets. I am from Oregon and have a love for this region. In some cases my photography reflects my love for this region and others times it can be much more vast. The concepts reflected in my artwork are most often described by the work itself but I could easily add addition layers with my meticulous description and analysis of the images.
